Lymphatic Flow Aids

Lymphatic Flow Aids

MLD / CDT

Manual Lymphatic Drainage and CDT are the treatment and management for Lymphedema. MLD has been well established since the 1970’s in Germany. CDT is now recognized in the United States as the gold standard treatment for lymphedema.

Rebounding

Rebounding has so many benefits. It helps move your lymph fluid. That helps  your body flush out toxins, bacteria, dead cells, and other waste products.

It also helps with improving your balance, coordination and overall motor skills. Rebounding supports bone density, bone strength, and bone formation, while decreasing bone resorption. Just TEN minutes once or twice a day is all you need to devote to this excellent simple exercise. In TEN minutes you provide your body with the full range of those benefits. Rebounding also provides a great cardio workout and builds muscle; which allows you to burn more calories and lose weight. You can find your rebounder on Amazon for as little as $50 and up to $425.

Body Brushing

Dry brushing has its origins in Ayurvedic medicine; a wholistic healing system that has been practiced in India for over 3,000 years. Dry brushing is also very popular in the traditional Chinese medicine.

Today, it’s still a popular way to manually exfoliate your skin and promote your lymphatic flow.

Dry brushing is great way to make it part of your morning routine. It’s great for moving your lymph fluid, removing dead skin cells, stimulating collagen production, and other benefits. I begin every morning with some MLD where the main clusters of lymph nodes are located. Then I begin lightly brushing my arms, legs and abdominal area. Remember to always sweep your strokes towards your heart. It only takes about ten minutes for your body to greatly benefit from this simple, pampering and effective practice.
CAUTION: People that should avoid dry brushing or proceed with caution, are those with open or inflamed skin, including those with eczema and psoriasis. And avoid brushing over any open wounds.
